Over the weekend, I finished the Night Angel Trilogy. This series has been one of the best I have ever read. Even if you're not a fantasy lit lover, you'll still enjoy these books. There's romance, fighting, history, mystery, humor, wit, and unbelievable twists creating a masterpiece that will last the test of time.
This third installment was my favorite of the three books. This series is the first I have ever implemented audio books and Kindle e-books. I have to say that I used to swear that if I listened to an audio book, I didn't actually read the book at all. But, now that I am older and the hours of the days seems shorter, audio books have become my good friends. I found that I enjoyed the mixed media reading of these books and will continue to use audio books when I have the chance. Now that I have a Kindle Fire, I am using it more and more as well. I like how I can carry many books around at once and customize the colors of the pages, but I still prefer real, tangible, turn the page yourself kind of books. I will say that my Kindle came in handy during my weekend road trip, especially at night when there was no sunlight to read from.
All in all, this weekend was very productive and eye opening for me. I will never take for granted all the ways I can read one book, and am thankful for the country that I live in where I can read what I wish and share my experiences with my friends.

Beyond the Shadows (Night Angel, #3)Beyond the Shadows by Brent Weeks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am a firm believer that if a book didn't make you cry, it didn't move you enough.
Needless to say, this book moved me to tears, laughter, anger, disgust, joy, and ultimately, it was one of the best books I've ever read.
